A volunteer organization serving the Town Of Windsor since 1881 and the Municipality of the District of West Hants since 1951

Incorporated as a Society in 1994 the 85 members of the department service a town of approx 3800 people and the surrounding county area of approx 8000 people over 200 square miles with twelve modern fire trucks and a Zodiac.

 
 The Windsor Fire Department is a non profit organization funded by the Town of Windsor and by contract with the Municipality of the District of West Hants. Fund raising is also conducted by the Ways and Means Committee.


 MISSION STATEMENT

"The Mission of the Windsor Fire Department is to provide protection to the citizens of the Town of Windsor and the Municipality of the District of West Hants. To protect their property from the ravages of fire and other emergencies to which we are called and to educate the citizens to the dangers of fire. We are committed to provide our services to all citizens of the area unselfishly, keeping in mind at all times the safety and best interests of the community."
